On the water

Victoria Recreation Club sport sections

The Club’s sport sections cover the Victoria Recreation Club Outrigger Team, Race Series, dragon boat, outrigger canoe, equipment rental, and the Sporting Code of Conduct.

Training is based at Deep Water Bay, with sessions also at Emerald Bay. Book courses and hire through the water sports office. For general enquiries write to enquiry@vrc.com.hk.

Hong Kong Victoria Recreation Club Outrigger Team is comprised of enthusiastic and competitive athletes who love ocean sports. We paddle and race dragon boat and outrigger canoe.

Victoria Recreation Club Race Series

Monthly races throughout the year so Hong Kong paddlers can race regularly. Singles or doubles covering surf ski, outrigger canoe, rowing, and stand-up paddle board.

Dragon Boat

Dragon boating is a fun-filled, adrenaline-pumping water sport. Crews of up to twenty paddlers race over roughly 250m to 500m courses.

Outrigger Canoe

Victoria Recreation Club Emerald Bay and Deep Water Bay offers single crafts outrigger canoe for our members and private or small group lessons. Victoria Recreation Club Paddle Team trains and competes in 6-man Outrigger Canoe based in Deep Water Bay.

Equipment Rental

Kayaks, Family Canoe, Prone Paddle Boards, SUPs*, Surf Ski’s*, OC1*, and Board Rowing*. *requires certification — ask the Club or Events Manager. Surf Ski and OC1: minimum 11 years old and 1.58 cm tall.
